Synopsis
Ye Yao had finally endured until her husband passed away, becoming the elderly matriarch of the Prime Minister’s estate. However, before she could even begin to enjoy her twilight years, she was stabbed to death by her younger stepsister.
Opening her eyes once again, she found that her stepsister had orchestrated a scheme in advance, swapping her scholar husband away, leaving her with no choice but to marry a cold-faced, uneducated, rough hunter. Later on, Ye Yao struck it rich through her business ventures and thought she could finally lie back and enjoy life with her husband, only to discover that the rough-hewn husband she had seduced had, at some unknown point in time, come to possess the power to topple the imperial court.
